With three different National Register Districts containing around 650 properties, Columbus boasts one of the greatest concentrations of nineteenth-century structures in the state, a virtually complete record of American building styles from the 1820's through the 1900's. Columbus is the birthplace of Tennessee Williams, and here you can view his 1875 Victorian home, which now houses the Columbus Welcome Center. For decades we have hosted the annual Spring Pilgrimage in celebration of our rich history. Now join us for a new tour. Our Fall Historic Home Tour features antebellum and Victorian structures and loft apartments. Please join us for this annual event.
